Jefferson Community,
Welcome back to another school year! It is an honor to serve this incredible community, and we are excited to partner with you for another outstanding school year.
Jefferson Elementary has a longstanding tradition of academic excellence. We are proud to have been recognized as a California Distinguished School and to have received the California Business Excellence in Education Award. While we celebrate these accomplishments, our focus remains on continuous growth—ensuring every student is supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential each and every day.
At Jefferson, we are committed to educating the whole child. In addition to strong academic instruction, we emphasize character development, leadership, and a sense of belonging for all students. Programs and recognitions, such as our Block J Award, reflect our dedication to developing well-rounded students who contribute positively to our school community.
We believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student success. We encourage all families to stay actively involved in their child’s education. There are many opportunities to connect and contribute through organizations such as the Parent Teacher Club (PTC), School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), Intercultural Diversity Advisory Committee (IDAC), and School Assessment and Review Team (SART). Your involvement makes a meaningful difference, and we are grateful for the continued support of our Jefferson families.
Our dedicated staff works hard to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment where every student feels valued and secure. To enhance campus safety, we utilize the Raptor Visitor Management System, and all visitors are required to check in through the front office.
Clear and consistent communication is important to us. We utilize ParentSquare as our primary communication platform to share important school updates, announcements, and classroom information. We encourage all families to stay connected and ensure their contact information is up to date so they receive timely messages. In addition, you can follow us on Facebook (@JeffersonElementaryBlueJays) and Instagram (@Jeffersonbluejays) for updates, events, and celebrations of student success.
